Notch Grapple

The Notch RC Grapple, developed with Reg Coates, is a collapsible, retrievable hook for moving around the canopy. Attach it to the tag end of your main climbing line to reach a new work position while you stay tied in. It folds for racking and pulls back in when given slack. It is not PPE and not for life safety: always keep a primary life line, and set up a work positioning system once you're in place.
